Cologne – IBM, Oracle, ELO, windream and Across are the sponsors of this year’s DMS EXPO. Thus those companies are supporting the leading fair of the ECM industry and are using this unique platform to present their offers prominently. The sponsor portfolio represents exemplarily the diversity and continuity of Europe’s leading fair for Enterprise Content and Document Management. For years, IBM has been participating as platinum sponsor at DMS EXPO. The importance of the trade fair is even further strengthened by the world market leader Oracle being a gold sponsor this year. The industry giants ELO and windream will represent as further gold sponsors the booming German medium-sized ECM businesses. As partner of the topic “International Product Communication”, a focus of the thematic variety of DMS 2009, Across Systems is completing the group of sponsors.

With Enterprise 2.0, i. e. new working methods of Web 2.0, DMS EXPO is covering another top issue of the Enterprise Content Management area. “In difficult economic times it is of even more importance to work more smartly”, states Stefan Pfeiffer, Marketing Manager ECM and Lotus of platinum sponsor IBM Germany, “Costs have to be saved. Work has to be done more efficiently, new working methods of Web 2.0 have to be considered and used as a chance for Enterprise 2.0. Therefore, the theme of our performance in this year’s DMS EXPO is ‘Smart Work For A Smarter Planet’.”

The exchange of knowledge and the collaboration of employees by means of social software components via Web platform are also a focus of the trade fair performance of Oracle Germany. “This year we decided to participate again at the trade fair in order to present a wide spectrum of solutions for Enterprise Content Management together with our Partners Benmark, Querplex, Opitz Consulting, Virtual 7 and Kuttig, as well as to present especially new products concerning Enterprise 2.0 “, explains Reiner Ernst, Sales Director ECM & Enterprise 2.0 of gold sponsor Oracle Germany. On September 16th 2009, the second day of DMS EXPO, Koelnmesse has planned an all-day series of presentations about the practical use and concrete advantages of Enterprise 2.0 solutions. In these talks, all facets of Enterprise 2.0 from the definition to the practical user report, will be presented and examined in detail.

Koelnmesse is welcoming ELO Digital Office GmbH as further gold sponsor for the second time. „DMS EXPO is of utmost importance to us as it is excellent platform for serious expert talks” explains Karl Heinz Mosbach, chief executive officer of ELO Digital Office GmbH, „It is particularly characterised by its highly competent trade visitors who usually already bring along very concrete ideas.

We want to underline the visibility and the clear profile of DMS EXPO as leading ECM trade fair by committing to sponsoring.” Windream GmbH, producer and supplier of the ECM system of the same name, is participating already for the third time as gold sponsor. Dr. Michael Duhme, press officer of windream GmbH: „With regard to the successful performances of the past years, DMS EXPO remains an important trade fair. This motivated us to act as gold sponsor again this year and thereby sensibly replenish our public image. Our new stand concept, which we will realise further at this year’s DMS EXPO in Cologne also matches these ideas.”

Building on the successful premiere of last year, Koelnmesse decided to extend the Product Communication Forum by one more day in 2009. “Companies are increasingly looking for integrated solutions for intelligent information management”, says Jörg Schmale, product manager of DMS EXPO. “Meanwhile, these also include the fields of creation and localisation of contents and product information, data administration and management as well as publishing. With the ‘Product Information Forum’ we are offering our visitors beyond that a central information platform at DMS EXPO.”

Accross Systems, a renowned supplier of language technologies, could be won for a sponsorship agreement in this field. “As exhibitor and for the first time also as sponsor we are appreciating the commitment of Koelnmesse to establish the topic „International Product Communication” as an integral component of DMS EXPO. As particularly in this field, an enormous potential for efficiency improvement is still left unexploited, we are expecting further increasing interest for technologies in the sector of translation processes and translation management”, states Andreas Dürr, Chief Marketing Officer at Across.
